A “unique piece” and the focal point of the room
Officine Gullo cooking islands are design elements that can completely redefine a room: “unique pieces” that form the hub of the whole kitchen. Featuring the iconic style and excellent performance that comes with Officine Gullo, each island is designed to be the hub around which family and friends can get together during their day-to-day activities. A place in which to cook, eat, relax and spend time together, from the first coffee in the morning to the last glass of wine at night.
Islands can be an integral, coordinated part of a full kitchen design and they can also be seamlessly integrated into other types of design, from the more traditional wood kitchen to the more modern steel models with an urban feel. Whatever style or complementary furnishings in the kitchen, an OG island is a bold feature element with excellent impact and top performance, able to bring character and a unique flair to your kitchen space.
A precise, powerful design element that combines harmonious shapes with the very latest in cooking technology. Like a luxury supercar, the powerful, elegance of Officine Gullo islands has a motor that offers extraordinary performance and and sophisticated design.
Function and elegance
The kitchen island is a highly functional element that provides extra room to move for a more fluid use of space. The fact that this is an independent element compared to the rest of the furnishings allows it to offer access on all sides. As well as offering practical movement, it also translates into multiple possible uses.
Like all Officine Gullo products, kitchen islands can be accessorised with all of the cooking elements selected by the client, based on their own requirements. Alongside burners or an induction top, clients can also add a range of powerful cooking accessories: pasta cooker, steamer, volcanic rock barbecue, mirror-finish fry top, and much, much more. One area on the top can be left free of cooking elements to provide a dedicated area for food preparation and eating.
Based on size, an island can be completed with a washing area or a small-sized sink to place alongside the cooking accessories.
Lastly, the space underneath is an important, useful additional cupboard space, as well as providing room for appliances such as oven or dishwasher.
An invitation to share
In a kitchen, an island is one of the layouts that best expresses convivial living, making hosting and serving even simpler. The “chef” has plenty of room to move, meaning that the kitchen island makes socialising even easier. The person at the cooktop is able to interact easily with all the others in the room.
The result is a multi-purpose area, a modern domestic hearth to gather around, sharing emotions and enthusiasm, where a super-accessorised workplace opens out onto the rest of the house.
The kitchen becomes a display space, to live in and to share.
