An open space kitchen for a Luxury Rental overlooking the sea in Costa Rica

Officine Gullo lands in Costa Rica, to create the kitchen for ‘The Hive’ Luxury Rental. The property boasts an exceptional location: directly on the sea in one of the most beautiful stretches of the country’s Pacific coast. It will open in April 2022 and will offer its guests the unique beauty of a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, in one of the most beautiful stretches of the Papagayo Peninsula.

Inside, Il Cantiere Inmobiliaria’s interior designer Maria Nella Hernandez dedicates a large space to the kitchen where Officine Gullo’s show-kitchen plays a starring role, where events dedicated to cuisine enthusiasts, such as show-cooking and tastings, take place.

In conjunction with the burnished brass finishes, the colour chosen is a beautiful emerald green, a timeless color, deep and lush that conveys the feeling of beauty, perfectly in line with the surrounding nature. The custom-made kitchen is open-space and in the design everything was thought out so that the spaces would allow a direct dialog between chef and guests, breaking down the barriers between kitchen and dining room, just as it happens in the contemporary homes, where the kitchen open to the living room is increasingly a shared dream.

In the middle of the space we find a kitchen with an island equipped with an induction hob area, an electric pasta cooker, 2 professional high-efficiency burners and an electric lava stone barbecue. All high-tech cooking equipment that stand out for the immediate power and high level of efficiency. On the opposite side of the cooking area of the island, there is a shelf that allows the island to turn into a counter where clients can sit.

Above the Island, there are a professional hung pyramid hood with LED lights, a built-in cookware holder shelf and a central bar with hooks. Behind the island, a custom-made corner kitchen completes the environment with a washing area with a brass wall sink and appliances such as a dishwasher, fridge-freezer with ice-maker, oven and a temperature-controlled wine cellar, open for tasting events.
